Interesting comparing Moses situation with Abel's. Moses strove to obey and please God while Aaron was jealous and looking out for himself. Maybe that's why he offered no resistance when the people had him make them a golden calf, maybe that false "god" would have been easier for them to worship...false gods make no demands.
